Developer Terms

Last updated: October 2, 2026

These terms apply when you publish a game on Arcadible, with the Arcadible CLI, from GitHub, or any other way. They add to the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, and the Privacy Policy. If these terms and the Terms of Service disagree about publishing, these terms apply.

"Your game" means everything you deploy: the game's files, and its store page, made from your README, your art in .arcadible/, and your arcadible.toml.

Your game is yours

You keep ownership of your game and every right you have in it. Arcadible doesn't claim ownership of anything you publish.

The license you give Arcadible

To publish your game, you give Arcadible a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, serve, display, and distribute your game, and to let players play it, on the services. This includes:

  • showing your game in the store, in search, and on your developer page, and its title, art, and screenshots wherever Arcadible links to it, including in Arcadible's own promotion of the store
  • keeping each build playable at its version link, as the developer docs describe
  • making copies needed to run the services, such as caches, thumbnails, and search data

The license lasts while your game is on Arcadible. When you delete your game, or Arcadible removes it, the license ends, except for copies Arcadible keeps for the time the Privacy Policy describes, and for promotion that's already published.

Your responsibilities

  • You have the rights to everything in your game: its code, art, audio, fonts, names, and anything you include from others, under licenses that allow you to publish it on Arcadible.
  • Your store page is accurate, including its audience and AI notices. See the Community Guidelines.
  • Your game follows the Community Guidelines and the law, in every version and on every channel, including staging.
  • Your game is safe: it contains no malware, and doesn't attack players, their devices, or the services.
  • Your services are yours. If your game connects to your own servers, you're responsible for them, their security, and the data they collect. You must publish a privacy policy that covers any personal data you collect from players, link to it from your game or store page, and follow the law that applies, including the law on children's data.
  • Your account is secure. Keep your Arcadible CLI login and your repositories safe. Anyone who can push a release tag to a repository connected to your game can release it, and you're responsible for those releases.

What Arcadible can do

  • Arcadible doesn't review games before they're published, and has no obligation to.
  • Arcadible can unlist or remove your game, or part of its store page, if it breaks these terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law, if Arcadible receives a valid legal notice about it, or to protect players or the services. Where Arcadible can, it tells you why, and you can reply to dispute it.
  • Arcadible sets limits on what can be published and how often, as the developer docs' Limits describe, and can change them.
  • Arcadible decides what the store features, charts, and recommends.
  • Arcadible can change the services, including the CLI, Arcadible Studio, and the platform games run on. The developer docs describe how they currently work.

Price

Publishing on Arcadible is free, and games on Arcadible are free to play. Arcadible doesn't currently support selling games or anything in them, and doesn't pay developers. If that changes, it will be under separate terms you agree to first.

GitHub

If you connect a repository with the Arcadible GitHub App, you authorize Arcadible to read it and to report releases to it, as the app's permissions describe. You can disconnect it in Arcadible Studio, and uninstall the app on GitHub, at any time.

Removing your game

You can delete your game in Arcadible Studio at any time. See Delete a game. Players who saved your game's files, or its progress on their devices, keep them.
