Preferences
Preferences change how Arcadible looks and where games open. Find them in Settings ▸ Preferences. Appearance and language are also in the account menu. Language is on the web only: the Arcadible desktop app uses your computer's language. You don't need to be logged in to change them. On arcadible.com while logged out, only Language and Appearance are available, in the menu's Settings.
| Section | Preference | Choices |
|---|---|---|
| General | Appearance | Light or Dark |
| General | Language | English or 日本語 (Japanese) |
| Library | Poster size | Small, Medium (default), Large |
| Library | Default view | Played (default) or Liked |
| Playing | Open games in | A new tab (default) or A pop-up window |
Poster size sets how large games' posters are in your library. On a phone, Small shows three across, Medium two, and Large one.
Default view is the tab your library opens to.
Open games in is on the web, on a computer. A phone has no windows, so a game always opens in a new tab there, and in the Arcadible desktop app each game always opens in its own window. See Playing a Game.
Where preferences are saved
Preferences are saved on each device, in each browser and in the desktop app, not in your account. So:
- Each device keeps its own. Choosing Dark on your laptop doesn't change your phone.
- Logging out keeps them, since they belong to the device, not the account.
- Clearing your browser's data for arcadible.com resets them.
